General Dentistry in Tuggerah
At Bluewater Dental, our core philosophy focuses on preventative care for individuals of all ages. We firmly believe that prevention is the foundation of general dentistry, guiding our approach to maintaining oral health optimally. To support this, we strive to keep our services affordable, including offering no-gap checkups every six months for patients with health insurance coverage.
Our commitment to prevention is aimed at helping you avoid more costly and complex dental procedures. However, should any dental issues arise, rest assured that we will always recommend the most conservative treatment options available to address your needs.
We offer the following services:
Check-up and Clean – One of the best ways to keep your smile healthy for a lifetime is with a check-up and clean every six months. We may recommend more frequent visits for patients with periodontal disease.
Dental Fillings – We offer these restorations that repair and rebuild teeth that have been harmed by cavities. Various filling materials are available.
Fluoride Treatment – Fluoride treatment helps strengthen teeth by aiding in the remineralisation of tooth enamel, making it more resistant to acid attacks from bacteria and sugars in the mouth.
Children’s Dentistry – Establishing good oral hygiene early can lead to lifelong healthy teeth and gums. We tailor treatments like fluoride application and tartar removal to your child’s comfort and may suggest fissure sealants to protect against decay.
Emergency Dentistry – Dental emergencies can happen when we least expect them. An emergency typically involves a broken tooth (or crown) or pain. We reserve slots for emergencies, and aim to get you in the same day or the next day for emergency care.
Mouthguards – If you or your child plays sports, we offer custom-fitted mouthguards to safeguard your smile.
Tooth Extractions – While it’s always ideal to keep all your natural teeth for a lifetime, sometimes, the healthiest approach is to remove a tooth when it can’t be saved or when it threatens adjacent teeth. We aim to provide comfortable extractions.
Wisdom Tooth Extractions – To diagnose whether a wisdom tooth needs to come out, we’ll refer you for an OPG X-ray (there is an imaging centre downstairs from our practice). We often refer patients to a specialist for wisdom tooth extractions because these procedures can be complex.
